Hood v. S.E. Funeral Homes of Alabama, LLC –– February 2019
A Mobile family was awarded $12 million in a lawsuit against Mobile’s Pine Crest Funeral Home for losing the cremated remains of a family member and other violations.
The jury voted on the verdict in late February after a trial that lasted several days in Mobile County Circuit Court. Evidence was provided that the funeral home failed to follow the law and their own requirements. Pine Crest was also unable to find and provide the cremated remains of the family member.
